Thanks BJ. I was hoping that it would be earlier in the week, but I'll still try to make it.

BJ - I wish I could make it, but I'm leaving Friday afternoon. And I'll be staying at the Sheraton Weds & Thurs night. I appreciate the effort though. Hope all who attend have a great time...jay

I'll be back home from A.C. by then too.
Perhaps the Superior auctions would have been best held during the day, rather than eating up the 2 nights most of us will be there. For me, 7 hours on the floor is enough for one day, especially with casinos and other distractions (or attractions, depending on how you look at it).

Now your talking Murcerfan. Just stay an extra day. It will be good for you.

I too was planning on leaving by Saturday morning. But, I can understand that PSA doesn't want to overlap this event with the Superior auctions being held on Thursday and Friday night. I'll try to make it if I can.

  • Yikes! I will honestly say, I am disappointed. I was planning on being there T & F also, and leaving Saturday morning. I have been anticipating this event for a year now. Saturday night is a real bummer. I'll try desperately to hang out for it but I have a 9 hour drive home! Hope to meet with everyone on the show floor and perhaps for seperate events T & F.

Thanks BJ for your efforts though and I will definitely stop by the booth.

BJ - Thank you for putting this together. I am not sure yet if I will be able to attend or not, but I'm sure it will be fun.

We still may have time to change the date/time if need be, but Frank is right. We don't want to compete with Superior's auction. Assuming that there are no other conflicts, would a Friday luncheon serve your needs better and allow more members to attend?

    Let me know your thoughts.

  • BJ,

We all appreciate PSA hosting this reception. But, as with almost everyone else here, Saturday won't cut it for me either since I will have left town. The consensus on this thread seems to be that either Thursday or Friday would have worked out great! How about a lunchtime reception on one of those two days instead of an evening reception on Saturday (by which most of us will have left)? If it's not too late, perhaps the day/time can be changed. Any time on Thursday and Friday would be much better than Saturday. Maybe you can conduct a poll on the matter.

    Thanks for you consideration.

I would be very interested in attending a Friday luncheon.

I just got to meet another Registry member today. Thank you, Davalillo, for a wonderful transaction!

    BJ,

Absolutely! I'm definitely game for a Friday luncheon! That would workout much better for me as opposed to Saturday night.
  • BJ and fellow Registry members:

I have another suggestion we might want to consider here. I just looked at the schedule for the National Convention and noted that on both Thursday and Friday, the doors open at 11 a.m. for the general public (10 a.m. for VIP's). Rather than have a luncheon that would take up precious "shopping" time near the beginning of this bustling activity, how about a breakfast/morning reception that would take place from, say 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.? I believe Friday morning might be preferrable to Thursday since most of us will have one day of "stories" to tell and another big day ahead. What do you think?

Hi BJ, I too have been waiting all year for this PSA event. However, my son and I will be attending with Ray Boehm and we will all be leaving on Saturday morning. A friday midday event would work out better for just about all of us on the registry. By Saturday night the show could be a ghost town with only the locals still in attendance. Hopfully a friday event could be worked out instead. Neil

8 A.M.???image What the %@*! is that???image. Luncheon would be a perfect break in the shopping day, pre-auction planning and socializing time. Here's hoping for something after 10 a.m.

    Hey BJ..

    Here's a thought...

A PSA Registry reception twice every night at show closing and a "late night" after hours party. Couple that with a PSA "surf and turf" buffet lunch that was discussed in a previous post...say...from about 11:ish to about 2:ish. A PSA "happy hour mixer"...Oh..about 4:00 or so....And I almost forgot...Made to order breakfast each morning...Would'nt want the board members to loose any energy, plowing through those ba'zillion of cert's..'ya know...

Hmmmmm....Do you think asking for airfare for all of us is streaching it too far ?

    See you all there!!!

    (Many thanks BJ...)

Why not just reserve four Blackjack tables at the Taj one evening?
Why do I get the feeling, that some cards are worth money, while others are not?
  • Is this really such a good idea? What if "Member A" turns out to look like the guy that married your exwife? What if "Member B" is wearing sandals and has dirty toenails? What if you best cyber buddy has an annoyingly high voice and eyebrows all the way across? Will things ever be the same?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.image
  • BJ,

Where did we leave this? Is PSA still mulling over different options or is the original Saturday evening gig a done deal? really hoping for the Thursday or Friday lunch.
    update?
