Funny incident at my local eatery today,coin related.

Went to one of my favorite eateries today and as I was leaving I asked the cashier for change for a dollar bill.As I was going through the coins checking for dates as I usually do I discovered I'd been given 1 quarter 4 nickels 3 dimes and 1 SBA! I called him back to the counter to show him his mistake and he hardly batted an eye,quite a young man so it's possible he thought it was a State Quarter and never gave it a second thought.I thought it was funny and would never have kept the extra money.

SBA's are so incredibly hideous that they can induce absence seizures. It's a lot like an injured body going into shock. The brain cannot deal with the utter horror of the image on the coin, thus "shorting out" for an instant. For a short time the clerks mind blanked out causing him to think that he had given you a quarter. It's a self defense mechanism which I like to call the "Medusa Syndrome."
