My latest purchase.....pics up in my latest post.

Check this out......the pic is from the auction, it's a crappy picture and it's small, but sometimes, wonderous things come from small crappy pictures. All 5 coins are CAM/DCAM, the dime is milk-spotted bad on the reverse, the Jefferson is hazy and gold toned, the cent has a few very tiny black spots, the Washington is beautiful, should go 68CAM easy, possibly DCAM(have there ever been any PR69 64 Washingtons?), and the Kennedy is an AH should get at least 67CAM, strong possible DCAM(could make that 68, but it has 2 real tiny milk spots on the reverse that are less than half the size of the stars). Pics will go up as soon as I can get some good ones to come out.

Okay, Pic just came up for me, and you're right, you need better pics. You can skip all the other coins, just post the Accented Hair.image

The frost is better than the pics show. Still haven't got the picture taking perfected yet

    Heres the Washington too

On the reverse of the 25c, the frost doesn't blend into the field like the pic shows, thats just the best shot I could get.

The milk spots on the rev of the Kennedy are around the D in United, and just to the left of the star at the base of the last A in America. They are real tiny.

    GaCoinGuy,

That is a fabulous looking Accented Hair. Operating on the following assumptions:

    a) The image is fairly close to reality, and the mirrors are that deep.
    b) That the two spots are really tiny and require more than a quick glance to see.
    c) That there are no hairlines, and this one is a big assumption because even many very experienced collectors can't find them on these.

I wouldn't be surprised to find that the coin went PR68CAM at PCGS. Two milk spots are FAR less important to them than even a couple tiny hairlines. While the spots might keep an ordinary coin in a 67 holder if, again, the image is accurate, it will go 68 because it certainly ain't an ordinary coin.

    Congratulations an excellent pickoff!

Oh yeah, the quarter looks nice too.

BTW, I had that auction on my snipe list, but it was closing around 5AM and I couldn't drag myself out of bed that early. I knew there was a reason I should sign up for one of those services.image

Unless the washington is a DCAM, either a 68 or 69 its not worth submitting, nice half btw.

Not worth submiting? I don't do this for investment. I collect for fun. I find coins I like, and keep em, with the rare exception. The ones I do sell, I normally ask no more than what I have in it.
