    Using acid = restored date.

    The coin looks OK, but based on the photos I couldn't be sure it was an overdate. It would probably be easier to tell in person, though.

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • Restored dates, if mentioned or easily detectable by novices do have a cheaper way to fill that missing hole in the collection.
