I got a phone call one bright morning from a fellow who wanted to sell ...."a lot"....of Indian Head "pennies."

I quoted my bottom price for G-VG as a "starting" price and added "DON'T CLEAN EM" and within 15 minutes he was at the counter.

He had 500 nice pink ammonia Comet baking soda lovely specimens.

When I dropped my price to a dime each, he left. He was mad that I wouldn't pay what I quoted. When I told him to remember that I also told him not to clean em, he said he had done that the night before because they were too ugly for anyone to want em.
