Thanks for the link. After comparing the images, I conclude they are the same variety. Trying to use the Newcomb book; United States Copper Cents 1816 - 1857, can be a test of ones' patience.
I much prefer the books Noyes did, his have images, good images!. The problem is, Noyes didn't do the years after 1839.

I was surfing the web tonight and stumbled on a much clearer (but smaller) image of an N-15 on Early American Auctions site.
