Easy question:::::::::::

Hey,
I'm new to this, so please be kind enough to answer my easy question if you know the answer without laughing too hard.
I received a load of used coins from my grandfather, and I was browsing and sorting them (sort of since I don't know s*&# about this, but I'll learn) , and I found one very intriguing coin...
It's a 1979 penny in very good shape, but it's gold. Never seen one like this. It's not just more shiny than others, it really look like gold.
So, any idea of what it is and what it's worth?
Thanks for your time.

Oh, by the way, welome to the boards!
There are many new collectors, old time collectors, and dealers that hang out here and i've found some good friends and valuable sources of information here. Have fun. Les

Sad it's worth nothing, but at least it look great.
I'll see if I can get it scanned. For your eyes only.
Maybe I'll have some other easy questions soon...
Thanks again!
By the way, anyone knows about a MURDERSLOT dated 1280 (but it's a foreign coin)????
I'll try to get it scan soon... Very weird stuff...
Thanks!
The pod grows some more!
Another easy for you pros, I found yesterday in the lot a sealed 1943 penny that is gray, and on the seal is written "platinum"...know anything about that?

The 1943 Cent is supposed to be grey in color. They're known as steel pennies, made because copper was in short supply during the war.

Thanks.
