Heritage's Spring Long Beach previews

If any of you are bored tonight take a browse through Heritage's Long Beach preview (accessed from their Auctions page). It can be a bit slow and awkward -- they're not all listed in series order, aren't searchable, and at times many of the pages disappear -- but still is a nice feature. One of the impressive consignments is the Trane collection (anyone know anything about this?) and there's some great patterns and proof Mercs as well.
Just a few:
1826 Capped Bust Half NGC MS66
1871 Seated Half NGC PR67 CAM
1875 J-1427 (copper) Trade Dollar NGC PR67RB
1917 Buffalo PCGS MS67
1856 Flying Eagle PCGS PR65 S-4
So far the Indian cents look weak compared to Central States, but these two catch your eye:
1877 PCGS PR66RD CAM
1880 PCGS MS66RD ..........knowing Heritage copper scans, this coin must be incredible in person

I don't know who or what, but I do know they have previously auctioned coins describing them as from the "Trane Collection".

Pennies make dollars, and dollars make slabs!
....inflation must be kicking in again this dollar says spend by Dec. 31 2004!

Shylock,
There were some IHCs at FUN from the Trane Collection. I bid on Heritage lot 5397, a very nice 1907 MS65RD IHC. Somebody else sure thought it was nice too because it realized $575.

Oh yeah!? lol

Oh ya
Erik -- my thoughts as well about the IH. 1880's are commonly well struck but that one's incredible, the feather junction clash marks on the reverse jump out at you. It's bright enough to lead a ship into harbor. Reminds me of a 1909 66RD in an old holder that sold for crazy money at FUN (11.5K).
Russ & Toothpuller -- thanks, thought the name sounded familier. I did a Heritage search a few days ago for "Trane" but it retrieved nothing. Wish they'd fix that thing.
