What coin would be worth more than the 33 saint if it went up for auction this year ?

Would it be: the brasher dabloon ? or how about the proof 68 1804 dollar ? How about the best of the 1913 nickles ? What coin is worth more than 7 million bucks [if any] Les

I think that two coins would. J-1776 and the 1849 $20 gold.

It had been known for many years that there were at least a couple 33 saints that escaped the borders of the u.s. when we went off the gold standard just waiting for the day when they were legal to own [i'm sure they didn't plan on almost 70 years
    though.

But for those of you that said the 64 peace dollar, do you really think any got out of the mint, waiting for the same scenario as the 33 saint ???

  • 1849 $20 gold and the '64 Peace.
  • There was a Brasher Dubloon in a Stack's sale a couple of years ago that failed to meet its reserve of $725,000 if memory serves, so that ones out.

I think J-1776 is your best bet.
