anyone care to grade this 1880 s morgan?

i finally got my HP scaner to work with windows 98 and decided this morgan would be my first test scan.if anyone would like to offer up a grade on this coin it would be appreciated. also your opinions on whether this coin would be a candidate to be sent out for pcgs grading. thanks

    Interesting coin. Might be a 65PL. Assuming the colors are market acceptible, I'd send it in.

    I'm not super-up on Morgans, but the places I need to see I can't make out the detail - the tip of the cap, the eagles breast feathers and feet, the hair around the ears, the brow, and the fields.

    I will say this, it looks incredibly nice. It is similar (in general condition appearance) to an MS64 I recently owned, if that helps any. Yours has nicer color, though.

    Looks like a 64pl to me. It grade submission worthy.

    Those colors look good to me. It is very hard to judge a PL with a scan, so I won't comment on that. I think it would 5, especially with those colors which probably look even nicer in person. Nice coin.

    64 easy maybe even 65 depending on the marks by the chin. The dark fields makes me want to say it has prooflike qualities also but I can't tell if they are just semi-pl, PL, DMPL or what.
    Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    jjut wanted to thank everyone for your input. i will contact pcgs tomorrow and get the ball rolling to send it to them for grading.

    I'd say 64 with a shot at 65. Probably even PL.

    Let us know the results in a few months when you get your coins back image

    It should PL. Unfortunately it is a tough call between 64 and 65. I give it a 65% shot at 65 and a 35% shot at 64.
