Help with a 1884-CC Morgan

I just received a GSA Morgan and the obverse looks like a VAM-2 (die break through bottom of date). I cannot however see any doubling on the 18. The reverse has doubling along the top edge of the left wing and the left wreath and branch, along with some of the lettering. There is a small dart coming out of the bottom of the middle tail feather extending almost to the bow. My VAM book is old (1st edition) and it doesn't tell me much. Does this sound like it could be the VAM-2, or is there another that has an obverse with the crack through the bottom of the date with another reverse. The VAM 4 date looks similar to the VAM-2 date, but I believe it to be the former. Also the coin that I have has a die crack through the lettering, starts, etc. almost all the way around on both sides.

Thanks,
Bill

First ed? I thought I was outdated with the 4th ed which is 13 years old.
VAM 3 has a die break by the date also.
    VAM 2 & 4 both have a spike 1 in date.
Out of the dozen or so VAMs for that model most have doubled dates but sometimes it is such a small amount you are probably missing it. VAM 2 has the doubling on the left side of the loops of the first 8 and VAM 3 has a doubled 1 that shows around the crossbar & has die chips in the first 8. You probably have the VAM 2 or 3 but without seeing a closeup pict or the coin in hand really I'm just making a wild guess as to what you have.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
