1916 D Mercury dime in PCGS ms64FB spotted!

Was at a local show and saw this HEAVILY toned gem in a case today. Amazing site to see a deeply toned 16D in 64FB! I was told that it was part of Mr. Sack's personal collection.

Anyone want me to pick it up for you?

If you mean James A. Stack, you probably missed an incredible coin!

TDN - I'm guessing (though, by no means, certain) that jbsteven was making reference to Larry/Lawrence Stack, as a number of coins from his personal collection were dispersed by David Akers at a show several weeks ago.

But then, again, he might have meant James Stack or even Sack's (Sak's) 5th Avenue.image
JB - what do you say?

jbsteven - is it Larry/Lawrence Stack, of Stacks' or James Stack, not of Stack's, but whose collection Stacks' sold? It does get confusing!

to tell you the truth I don't know. I am pretty sure whose ever sold recently. hope that helps. kinda think he mentioned the owner of Stacks because he said he probably bought it for $2000 a loooong time ago.
