The scans do not do these crazy colors justice as the luster is lost because of the scans!!!! This one has the HepKitty seal of approval!!!

    Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

    The 55 was a tough coin for me to find, this one was worth the wait......

    Lucy, is the actual coin closer to your first picture or the second? My guess is that if it's turned at the right angle under a light, the orange and magenta is much more noticeable. At any rate, it's definitely head and shoulders above the typical dark blue/purple toned 55 one sees. Congrats!

    It is closer to the 2nd set of pictures, the scans i do always seem darker and uglier....

    Thats a nice 55 lucy! As others have mentioned, tough to find with color like that. I'm happy for you! I have an ms66 in an NGC holder with no miss FBL. but I'm not quite sure if it would go 66 at PCGS. It's a white and orange toned piece, yes, white toning. I'll try it some day. I'm sure youve seen plenty of 55 mint sets/ pieces, and the reddish/blueish/purpleish thing is so very common. I have three like that and they are definitly 66fbl candidates, but certainly not as pretty as yours! You rule!

    Thought I would post this one again. A super tough color scheme, but only a 65 fbl, and that 65 because of eye appeal. Surfaces, to me are 64. Oh well, gotta keep trying!
