I HAD HIGH HOPES...

But...not a home run in the bunch. Only 28 days 'til grades posted, however. Not too bad on that score.

One 67 in the bunch, and the rest 68-69 DCAM?

    Lucy's right.

  • I coulda sworn that the $5 gold Constitution and two others would see 70. Can't win 'em all.

  • TD,

First, let me say that I'm glad you shared this with us. It's a good thing to share what we do with others.

Those late 70s coins are actually tough, especially the T2 coins. So very many of them weren't great quality, even when they were new from the mint. I think the vast majority of those scores (in my opinion) are pretty good. I know that 69 and 70 are the watermarks, but those 68s are actually nice coins, I'll bet.

I think you did a cool job of picking through them!

P.S. I love those constitution $5 coins! They're striking (no pun intended)
  • Thanks, ursabear. Hey, the bright side, I've got a complete 1979-S Type 2 Proof Set in PCGS PR-68 DC, minimum. (And a mismatched 67, 68 and 69 DC set.)

  • Having a full T2 set in 68DC isn't bad! image
