I've collected for 35+ years now....... Mostly circ coins, but have a complete set of "modern" (1947-date) mint sets......... I just came back from exploring this site and found on the "registry" page mint sets that go WAY back....... What gives?

Sell me your 1947 through 1958 double mint sets and I'll let you in on the secret.

Actually, the sets listed in the PCGS registry aren't government Mint Sets (even the post 1947 sets). A better name would be Year Sets of Mint State Coins. How's that? They are essentially put together sets, like birthyear sets a lot of people put together.

Our family dog, Hassenpfeffer, who is having a terrible time with his kidneys was born in 1947 and if you sell me your mint set from that year, it would help us to remember him when he passes along. He also had puppies from 48 through 58 and we would be obliged if a mint set could be had in rememberance of the "little pups". Thank you....

I'd never think of parting with them, nor even splitting them up to be entombed in plastic...... If you'd like, I can leave your names in the box with them and when I pass on, maybe one of the young 'ens will drop you a line !!!!!!!

I never really sell much of anything off..... (although I did pay for my wedding reception for 120 people by being "persuaded" to part with 6 rolls of junk half dollars (and I mean JUNK ((They were circ Frankies)) when silver was 50X face !!!!!!

Im surprised that sooooooooo many common coins survived the melt at all !!!!! The way I figure it, there shouldnt be ANY circ Franklins, Walkers , common date Barber and even common Seated coinage left!!!!! Beats me why theres any "holed" or TRUE JUNK left anywhere in its original form......

Dang, the older I get, the more I ramble !!!!!!!

Claus...... By my math, that makes your dog somewhere in the neighborhood of 56 years old..... Thats 392 DOG YEARS !!!!! No wonder his kidneys are bad !!!!!!!
