How can people find Matte Proof Gold attractive?

SethChandlerSethChandler Posts: 1,720 ✭✭✭✭
They look like cheap tokens to me. Look at a Gem Proof Saint, worth 40k, for the same price you can have a Gem Proof Black & White cameo Twenty Lib. What's the deal?
Collecting since 1976.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. While I agree that a brilliant or, better yet, a cameo proof is more attractive than a matte proof, the latter is nice, too. (Not that I've personally seen many matte proof gold coins).

Anyway, who are we kiddin'? Proof gold is proof gold! Ain't no such thing as ugly in proof gold!
