New Features include:

Updated Values

* Current values for 2003. Most types now feature values for 1-5 additional grades.

Relevant Links

* CoinManage now contains relevant links for most coin types. Click on Liberty Nickels and you will see links for the Liberty Nickel listings at eBay(tm), a link to the Liberty Nickel Collectors Society and more. Click on the link to bring up a browser and visit the URL.

Imaging

* Support for 4 images per record, up from 2 images in previous version.
* Added support for GIF, PNG, TIFF, WMF, EMF image files.
* Much improved image view. Easily Open or Edit images, drag image files directly into the image view to attach to a record.
* Record Images are no longer stored in the CoinManage database file. They are now stored externally in JPG format. Result is a big saving in space occupied by images.

Scalability

* Much improved performance and reduced memory footprint. Previous versions of CoinManage would slow down considerably with large numbers of records or image attachments. In CoinManage 2003, data and Images are now loaded only "On Demand", resulting in superior performance even with very large collections.

Attachments

*CoinManage 2003 allows you to attach an unlimited number of URL links or files to each of your records. Open the attachment by simply clicking on the link to the attachment when viewing the record.

Data and Values

* CoinManage 2003 contains updated value and coin data information for US and Canadian coins. CoinManage now has over 1200 images of coins. Most design changes have their own associated image.

Multi-User

* CoinManage 2003 supports multi-user access

Database Security

* The CoinManage database file (COINDESC.MDB) is no longer password protected.
* You can password protect the CoinManage database file by using Microsoft Access(tm) to set a database password. CoinManage will subsequently require users to successfully enter this password before allowing access to the program.

Other Changes

* New Clone command allows you to easily duplicate records.
* New Find Text command allows search for text within your collections or within the CoinManage database.
* The Needed to Complete feature has been improved considerably.
* Support for Error coins. CoinManage now allows you to enter the error information for a coin, and to view coins by error.
* Monthly Purchases and Sales. View purchases and sales by month/year.
* Bigger toolbar with text and better graphics.
