Check out this Roosie toner

Check out the reverse on this Roosie. It's beautiful...but, I have a question for those who have skill at grading this series. The strike is nice, the color is super...how can this coin grade a high 67 or possibly a 68 with the scratch in the right obverse field and the hit on the torch on the reverse? Of course, the dings may be on the holder, in which case I withdraw my question and plead ignorance.

Just a little over 1hr., 20 min. to sell on a BIN of $499!! Spectacular coin!!

I'm very sure the "scratch in the right obverse field" is actually on the holder, not the coin. I'm not so sure about the torch. Either of us would have to have the coin in our hot little hands to know for sure.

Thanks for pointing that coin out. That coin is fine as they come! WOW! image
  • I agree with DCAMFranklin. It looks to be like its on the holder. But, WOW, that is a beautiful coin. I have a 63 Proof in for grading right now that has an almost identical reverse, but the obverse is not as pronounced........Ken
