A bit off topic - printing an online submission form

When I print an online submission form, the page break splits the list of submissions in two pieces. It is ugly, but also seems to increase the chance of human error at PCGS in processing.

If I use the smallest font, and reduce margins to a minimum, I can get 13 submission lines on page one.

Does anyone know how to get around this problem? I would like to get all 20 lines on one page.

Have you tried editing the web page (FILE - EDIT) with FrontPage, Word, or some other editor? I would just put a page break in before the table and then all should appear on the second page. I edit the form also to add lines to the table when I have more than 20 different lines on a submission. Just a quick thought without actually trying the page break. Dave
  • That's a good suggestion.

I print mine from Netscape 7 instead of IE because it comes out much better looking, the entry cells are larger, and the pages break better.

It bites, doesn't it? PCGS needs to try Adobe or some other program that allows "cell editing" AND print options. Everybody doesn't want to be bothered with performing this task for them. You would think that after receiving multiple paged truncated submission forms, they would have acted on this by now.

  • This, apparently doesn't bother them. You can always get forms from them.image

  • I change my page setup for IE to .25" for left and right margin, .1" for top, .5" for bottom. Then change text size to larger under View heading. This will usually break the page so that the table starts on page 2. Use print preview under File till it looks right then I only print the first 2 pages and right down my shipping cost from the chart.image
