One batch is on the way and probably will be here tomorrow. Little story behide the first batch but I'll leave that to Stacy if wants to comment. I'll just say he gave me a little Refund for a Boo Boo.
Nice Guy and I hope we see him back here in the future.
Ken
I received my 2 dimes from Stacy yesterday and added them to my set. Thanks Stacy! Hope the best for you and also hope you will rejoin us here when your situation allows.

Now you are a real Mercateer! Cool shirt. Funny, I have one just like it. I hear Dennis and Tim do also, although I hear Tim's 7 year old daughter wears the Mercury dime shirt in his family, to sleep in no less. I wonder if it makes her dream of MS68FB Mercs?

Wayne Thanks Again. I was just waiting for you to make reference to the Mercateers before showing the shirt off.

Thanks Mercury1. These are Nice Coins.
Ken
I had to stand on my head to see it!
Nice looking coin!
Do the coins get up back to 90%?

92% and rising. Dumped a 43S MS67FB coin in there that has some rim tone. Had my eye on two different 43S coins but ended up with this one. There is a Coin Show near Seattle this weekend so maybe something else interesting will be found. Hate to make the 400 mile round trip again this year for no coins purchased. Did have a good day selling last year though.
Ken
There is a coin show about 200 miles from here on Sunday, but there is a car show only about 75 miles away. I am not sure if I am going to either, but I am hedging toward the car show. I was even able to take the Chevelle for a cruise on Easter!

Maybe next month for a weekend cruise. Ahh... Sunshine, Banging Gears in the Blue Fairlane and Meatloaf blaring from the stereo....What a life.
Oh Yea and Dusting Off Hondas and that sort of thing.
Ken
I kinda resent that Honda dusting remark! Drive that ratty Ford down to Houston and see if you can dust my 2002 Civic. $2,000.00 spent on a civic will make it turn low 14's, and it will still get 30+ MPG, and the only thing that ever breaks in 150K miles is an occasional light bulb! New intake system, new exhaust system, one little computer chip, and better tires and wheels. With the new exhaust system, it is kinda noisy when you "get on it". Come on, if that Ford will even make it to Houston!

If I may put in my 2 cents.
There is no replacement for displacement.
And, it is really fun to drive a true classic car. Anyone can get a newer car and put all kinds of stuff on it, but nothing compares to a nice car with the top down on a warm moonlit night. The looks you get driving the classics don't compare to who can go faster.
Summer is almost here!

No argument with your statement at all.
I've had a 62 Falcon 2 door Hardtop with a 250 CI 6 cylinder, top loader 4 speed, and lots of Clifford Research parts and a Mondello & Sissel 3-one barrel intake. It would turn 13.40 in the quarter, this is about 1974. Loved to blow the doors off Corvettes, Cameros, and Mustangs, then show them the 6 under the hood!
48 Ford PU with 289 and C-4, sold before I finished it. The guy kept putting hundred dollar bills down until I said yes.
A 1940 Chevy pick-up with a 4-71 blown small block, turbo 400, 4 wheel disc brakes, and all the modern goodies, AC, PS, PB, Tilt, cruise, etc. Built that one myself over a period of 4 years. Might have been fast if I could have ever got it to "hook up".
Last one was a 68 Ford Ranger PU, short wheel base styleside. 428 super cobra jet shelby engine, C-6, suspension lowered 4 inches. Built this one myself also. Like you said, there is no substitute for cubic inches! It was fast. Welded 3 sections of 100lb/foot of railroad rail between the frame rails behind the rear axle for traction, still had problems coming off the line. Black on black with no AC, murder in Houston! Only drivable about 6 months a year, kinda like Ken's situation, only different!
I used to be the resident street rod "wiring specialist" for this part of Texas.
No, I don't get many looks in my Honda, from cops either! Since I sold the 68 PU, no tickets.
I only responded because I knew Ken was razzing me, and I just wanted to razz him back!
Ken,
I tried to find a used early 60's Fairlane when I visited the Lexington a couple of weeks ago in Corpus Christi, but no luck. Seems the Navy is buying them all for their Taliban catch and release program. One thing for sure, if I could have found one, it would withstand a cat shot!
