GREAT JOB PCGS!! THE MS69 IKE IS A PQ MS69!!

At the request of the seller, I agreed to buy his recently slabbed 1972(s) Ike Dollar in PCGS-MS69 SIGHT-UNSEEN yesterday at his asking price. Naturally, I would have liked to have seen it before paying more than I ever have before for a Mint State Ike Dollar, but, that was the seller's proposal (and he even agreed to get on a plane and fly the coin out West from Indiana to deliver it to me so long as I paid for the coin DONE DEAL before looking at it). OK- I figured the odds were with me, as PCGS employs perhaps the very finest modern grader working today, Miles Standish, who oversees essentially all of the bulk slabbing of moderns. Of course, a mistake can be made, here and there, though.
Well - the coin exceeded my expectations by a landslide!! IMHO, the coin is a full 1 1/2 points nicer than most of the MS68 coins also graded in the lot and a NO QUESTION MS69 IKE!! GREAT JOB PCGS!! And, I will continue to entertain any "modern" PCGS deal on a sight-unseen basis anyone cares to offer me.

(Good job Mitch- it's always scary when you're dealing in slight unknowns! I'm glad the coin turned out to be as beautiful as it is.)
