Crackout or not?

Is there a benefit to leaving a CC Morgan in a GSA holder verses having it graded? Are they worth more?

I've got a few, none of which include the boxes. One looks like it might go MS65, with nice rainbow toning too.

If you really want to, NGC grades them in the holder, they just don't guarantee the grade.

The coins are more valuable in their GSA holder, unless they make 65, can grade PL or DMPL or they have attractive toning.

Sounds like you one coin would be a good candidate. image

  • Don't sweat the value.....preserve a piece of history and leave it be. If you must have it graded, let NGC do it in the box.

leave it in the GSA holder. If you feel the need to have it graded, leave it in the holder and send it to NGC

Every day, the GSA holders get rarer and the slabs get commoner. Makes it an easy call as far as I'm concerned.
