Best solution to clean silver coin?

Relax - I'm not doing anything bad here. Keep reading...

My wife has a Seated Dime love token on a necklace (I found one with her initials on Ebay a few years ago!) and she doesn't like the toning, which has darkened over time, a dark gray. She asked me to clean it for her.
I've never put a coin in anything but acetone. What is best to "shine up" her dime?

Silver can be "shined" by a solution of washing powder and hot water. Takes the tarnish off every time. Just remember washing powder. I am not talking about Tide. Arm and hammer makes a household version of this. Just bring up to temparature and dip the coin in and viola shiny and new. If you want it to stay that way spray it with a clear coat of enamel.

lots of baking soda in hot water and a nice hunk of aluminum.

    Soak (no scrubbing, please).

lots of time, lots of time.

even more time. . .more heat

. . .and some more time and heat. . .

will get most of the sulfer based "tarnish" off the silver coin without hurting a single atom of the silver.

Go to Walmart and get some of their jewelry cleaner, dip as needed. Rinse well.
