Contact marks across bell lines?

How picky is PCGS when it comes to contact marks across Bell Lines? If the contact mark is across the lines but does not cause a bridge, will it still get the designation?

The impossible just takes longer.

  • I believe so, I think the mark has to impare or break up the flow of the line to not get the designation.

Pennies make dollars, and dollars make slabs!

....inflation must be kicking in again this dollar says spend by Dec. 31 2004!

I see your question differently. I don't think it should necessarily be how picky PCGS is, it should be how picky you are (or your customers) that should hold greater weight.

Just because a coin is slabbed with a certain grade and/or designation does not mean that the "market " will agree with it. The proof is the number of threads that this forum has that disagrees with grades and designations of many slabbed coins (and not just PCGS).

    Joe.
  • Point to remember. Slabbed designations are just a paid for opinion. Just as people here agree and disagree with the slabbed grades, those are also only opinions.............Ken
