9/11 damaged World Trade Center Coins

I have a special coin that was retrieved from the WTC site right after 9/11. It is a cent dated in the 1990's. It looks simply awful. I will never sell this coin as it is not the kind of coin that should ever be sold. However, I plan to contribute this cent to a coin museum preferably the ANS or the ANA museum.

I wonder if any other of the damaged coins retrieved from WTC were ever put aside for eventual display in museums as authenticity is very difficult if not impossible to ascertain?

A boat load of SAE's were graded and sold from the centers.
