Plaster models of coin designs: question...

Say you knew someone who could pour a plaster blank, maybe a foot or so round, and carve into it an exact likeness of your favorite coin design, or maybe design something completely different from that which has been created in the past. Knowing that plaster dries white, would you suggest:
1. leaving it alone and hanging it on the wall as is...
2. Painting it slightly off-white to give it a shinier appearance than dull plaster provides...
3. Painting it the same color as the intended coin - bronze, gold, or silver...
And if a person were to do a work of art like that - an original carving of a coin design, to scale in every way - would it be something worth paying for, and how much? (just in case I decide to do more than what will hang on my wall).
And finally, if a person were to do such carvings, what designs would look best in this large (galvano) format?

As for price, I couldn't say until I saw it, or where to put it
