250-300 pounds of coins and they would not let the buyer pick them up! Sounds fishy to me!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    It can only be shipped Parcal Post in 70 LB increments at about $80/per 70 Lbs. So tack on another $300-$400 for shipping. For that I would want to pick them up also.
    It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    Well, the high bidder the first time around was some three feedbacker with the handle coinworld2002. He bid it to over $15,000. In a previous transaction with this same seller, he spent a whopping $10. Very smelly, this one.

    The first buyer had a feedback rating of 3 including a negative. The only transaction still available was a $100 purchase of baseball cards, but he bid $15,001 on this crap. Go figure.image

    Maybe he will throw in some fries with the fish this time. Perhaps he feared bodily harm when the chap showed up and saw how bad he had been screwed..........

    So if the vault was stolen from an abandoned house, how did the seller obtain legal ownership? Are all 250-300 pounds of coins gold? Or even US?

    We all have figured out the story is a line of crap. But wouldn't there be something wrong with taking a vault, safe or whatever from an abandoned house? Maybe it wasn't abandoned at all. Maybe it's a stolen coin collection (lack of pictures)(won't let you pick it up). Something does not smell right, at first I thought it was Russ, but I think it's this auction!image

    I think there is a better chance coinitques is the shill,

    would the seller use 2 shills on the same auction with coinworld2002 and coinitques, just to get bid number up?

    Also, last time this was up I asked the seller where the house was that he found it in and if I could come by to check it out. He never answered!

    Sorry to triple-post, but one more point: check out the bidding history of cointiques, the current high bidder! This isn't enough to report for shill bidding is it?

    Thought I would send this one back up to the top. Almost $15K and the seller posted pictures. But remember you can't pick it up! Over 5000 views on the auction. Gotta love it!...
