Question for Carol - How many coins are entered in the Registry?

It shows about 6200 sets, but I was wondering how many individual coins are registered (counting coins registered in multiple sets only once).

Any guesses before/if there is an answer posted?

My guess is 38,000 coins

42,937 That is of course as of today.

38,000 is more likely the number of coins waiting to be graded already at PCGS.

I guess 164,000 individual coins listed.

I'm really curious now. Do you have the means to determine how many coins are listed (only once of course)?

It would be interesting to know:

Number of Sets (this we know)
Number of owners (so you can compute sets/owner)
Number of coins listed, including duplicates (can compute average coins/set)
Number of coins listed, no duplicates (coins/owner)

I sent BJ and email a while back and asked her this question. She said she didn't know how dificult it would be to get the info. She was going to pass the request on to the IT people. Her thought was we might get the information in the future, if they get the time, and if it's not too difficult to get.
