esnipe is crunched on 65 set

Well, after many hours of work trying to make a foray into the '65 set, I placed my esnipe bids. Well over 200 of them. Only about 25 of them went off. I thouht that might happen, so I had set the bid time to 20 seconds before auction end, but it didn't help. I m sure that I am not the only one, so I guess that Mastro lost big $$$ by having the auctions all go off at once.
It is certainly frustrating to have spent all of that time for nothing.

that sold for less than my failed snipes

Well, that is not too bad a thing, I guess. Just wish I was the one with the deals!
lets try to keep this to one thread...it will be easier for all

Sorry about the second thread. I thought the one you started was to discuss the results, and who won what, etc. I started this thread mostly out of frustration, and it is not a discussion of results, but rather of the failure of the snipe service.
I used esnipe. I bid mostly at 20 seconds to go, figuring I would beat all of the other snipers, if it was to get jammed. Toppsgun was right, however. A lesson learned, as they say.

It was fun to watch!

The only thing that raises prices is two (or more) bidders bidding on the same item, regardless of whether it's manual or electronic. The only caveat is they both have to get their bids in before the hammer falls.
I'll always marvel at the time I put in an insane 3-figure bid on a 1963 PSA 8 common, feeling quite smug I'd win easily. Much to my dismay, I lost by the $2.50 increment. No telling how high the winner actually went. But I can almost guarantee you he never expected to pay 3 figures, either.
BTW, I won the same card a few days later for half that and it was better centered. The next one will probably go for less than what I paid for mine. C'est la vie. {French quote to annoy all the blood-thirsty, hawkish, right-wing extremists, of which I am one.}

Why are you apologizing Schmidty? Do you own Esnipe?
Didn't the shots from the grassy knoll really come from a storm drain?
Didn't someone call 911 from Vincent Foster's apartment?
Didn't the owner of eSnipe want most of the those '65 Mastro cards for himself?
Some of you esnipers must be thinking "this has got to be expensive!". I know esnipe charges a per snipe rate for auctions you win. Just snipe does not. I pay $5.00 per month for unlimited sniping. I checked my history on just snipe - I've sniped 851 auctions since I've been using this service and probably won about 90% of them! I also know that I've had snipes on multiple auctions that closed at the sime time and went through with no problems. I've had 8 failed snipes and all of them were prior to me placing 2 snipes for each auction.
I hope this was useful to some of you.
JEB.
Edited to add this:
For anyone who doesn't snipe often, they also have a free snipe service that allows 5 snipes a week.
One of the reasons I used the sniping service is that I couldn't have placed 75 bids for 90% of my snipes near the end of the auction. I agree thats a great idea if you're bidding on a single auction but not with that many closing at once.

Who'd have ever thunk that just placing normal bids like toppsguns did,
would have ended up being the most successful bidding strategy ?
Thanks all for the entertainment, reminds me of back in the old days,
when we'd wait till the last minute to bet on a horse, and then get shut out before we could get the bet down !
Horse player's credeo : "Plese Lord, let me break even today, I could sure use the money !"
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
