Consignment suggestions

I have a proof buffalo nickel collection I am thinking of parting with image It is currently # 2 on the Registry, and # 3 all time. It includes a 1916 PR68 (pop 5/0 )
If anyone has any insights into which auction firm would best handle something like this, I'd appreciate any input. To me, Heritage seems too large, and their auctions too watered down. ( Plus their coin photography is pretty bad) B&M seems to be in alot of turmoil right now. American Numismatic Rarities in Wolfeboro NH, doesn't have a track record as a new company, but has some impressive people behind it. Are there any others I should consider?
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Rick

Since it is a fairly small collection, less than ten coins, why don't you consider selling it as a unit or consigning it for sale to me. It can be done advantageously, with virtually no risk of a bad auction. Please PM for details.

I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

  • Superior, Goldbergs, Stacks, Teletrade. I like teletrade for quickness and low rate and strong wholesale prices realized though maybe may go stronger with other three. But you can't beat the turnaround of Teletrade.
  • On second thought go with Julian as he is an dealer known for honesty and he also known for his quality customer base.
