Most Difficult Cards To Get Graded?

Can you any of you tell me which 3 years from the 70's, 80's and 90's you have problems high grade cards from?

I can only pick 3? LOL There are so many with terrible print runs. Was there such a thing as quality control back in those days? I have only opened up lots of 1981 Fleer and Topps, 1984 Topps and 1986 Topps. Mostly it's just off center stuff. Chipping on the 1986 is bad sometimes. I just opened up some vending of 1981 Fleer and the cards were perfect with great corners and gloss, but some were badly miscut or offcenter. I think it depends on the print run you open too.

1970s- 1971 topps.....self explanatory
1980s- 86 topps.....black borders make it a nightmare
1990s- 95 bowmans best.....terrible centering, and real easy to scratch

90's...(I thought all new cards came as gem mint...)

Single most difficult year to get graded bar none is 1964 Topps Hockey Tall Boys. They hit you with ST qualifiers that literally come out of nowhere.

on the Baseball side there is no question for the 80s - 81 kicks everybody's a$$. Matt you should jump in here. I've personally opened several cello and vending cases, and my luck is probably about average. 1 card in 600-750 is worth sending in meaning a lock for a 9 chance for a 10. There are others that are tough, like 80 Topps, but none compare with 81 Topps.

1986 TOPPS is killer. I have cried about it befor and will again. Biught another 100 card lot not one worth sending in (all Boggs) 1991 Pinnacle for the 90's
