    I believe that "wiped" refers to being wiped with a jeweler's cloth or similar item to lightly clean the coin.

    Personally, I've never felt comfortable detecting a wipe or subtle light cleaning even in person so I'm no help there. As for the coin in question, although it doesn't jump out at me as a "problem coin" I find the toning a little distracting, especially on the reverse. It looks very similar to some coins a boardmember pulled from a cardboard album. Hopefully someone else can give you better feedback.
