Darth Grader strikes again

I was very picky with these submissions. 8032093 I feel like I wasted 225 bucks. Hesitating to send in more now.
I am buying a 10X this weekend, I think it will save me money on submission fees, because my 41 year old eyes are seemingly not good enough anymore. These cards will boost my complete %, but will most likely lower my average grade.

I just had the same thing happen to me on invoice 476113.

On the flip side, this was my first submission of 71's. But, when they came back, I still found that I received PSA 7's that look nicer than a lot of the 8's that I already had.

Oh well... keeping fingers crossed on the next one.

  • FB- I'd be interested in those PSA 7 71's if they are for sale. Email me at FFMAZZ@AOL.COM with the list. Thanks, Frank

    Frank,

Sorry - too late for side sales. My wife was traveling on business earlier this week, so I found myself with 4 to 5 hour stretches where I could stay on the computer without receiving "the look". So, the cards that I didn't add to my own set or already on eBay under lynnfrank@earthlink.net

Ouch Frank! Were those '71s from that "NM-MT" set you recently purchased on eBay?

That is funny, the "look." I get the "look" from my wife if I just as much look at the computer at home... image

    John,

No - those 71's weren't from the set that I purchased on eBay for $4660. I'm just going through it now.

So far, I'm up to card #320 and have pulled 95 cards for grading - there will be a mixture of 7's and 8's. I don't believe that I've come across any absolute screamers (9's) yet. I'm hoping to do better as I continue through it.

On the other hand - the SMR on the graded cards I got with the set was roughly $3200. And that includes a $225 SMR on the Munson 8. In the end, I should be able to come out of it with a couple hundred cards below SMR, probably by 20 - 30%.

You gotta take a shot every now and then - sometimes ya win and ya hope you don't lose to much.

Here was my solution to that.
I got her a computer of her very own
and set it up in the room opposite mine and
even networked it to the DSL line...

she never comes in here any more.
