It's getting harder and harder to find nice dimes. getting into the top ten is going to be very hard. Staying there will even be harder that's for sure

I think that the Mercury dime group is one of the finest groups on the board. I thank everyone for thier nice comments.

We will soon be missing one of the finest collections, Hope he will enjoy his new challange. I will miss seeing his collection in the top of the mercury dime sets.

    Pat:

Nice job! As you say, it's getting harder to reach the top 10. But it's sure getting easier to leave the top 20!

    Pat,

Nice going. It's fun to get those multiple additions, but it gets so much tougher to do that when all of the holes in your set are coins from the teens and '20's.

It's true that it's harder to break into the top 10. I've added the '20-D and '27-S over the past 2 weeks, and haven't budged from #11, but we all buy what we can afford, and are often just as proud of our sets as the top dogs. Keep pluggin' away at it, Pat. As new sets are added to the Registry, a lot of us will have to be content to be in the top 20, or 30, or....whatever. That shouldn't diminish our accomplishments or the fun we have collecting.

  • Great job Pat, I know the feeling of those hard to find
dimes, still looking for the 27-s , that one is hard to find
the 16-d will be easy that one is just a matter of money
and saving to buy it for a year or so.

It was talked about befor but at one time it didn't take much to be in the top 10

    That's not the case now.

Todays top 10 are outstanding sets.image

Hey if we fall out of the top 10 or even 20 most here have the distinction of being here from the beginning when few sets were registered. Damn its been Fun watching the progress that has been made. HUGE image

  • I'm just happy to be in there at all. I don't care what number I'm at, I just like the camaraderie (sp?) of participating with such a fine bunch of folks. image
