Getting hard to find Merc upgrades.

It is getting hard to find mid grade MS62-65FB early date mercs. The 27-S is almost impossible to locate in any grade. Anybody know of a source different from the regular dealers? Even the auctions are little help. Things are really slowing down on the Merc registry, very little red anymore. JVoege

As more collectors return to collecting, and the new influx of collectors it is getting more diffecult to find coins. I know I am now getting into the tougher date, and it takes longer to find one of these than ten commons. They will come out, but it could be slow and cost more.

I have found a couple of up-grades that would be liked but the jump in moola is about a 500 dollar bill. The 15th killed me for awhile. One other is a 1400 dollar bill. Have been trying to think of a way to get it. Maybe I'll sell my soul. image

In reality these things have been getting harder to find. The tightened Grading standards might have something to do with it. Dealers and collectors just will not give up a coin they think is better unless they have too. Just a thought. Also the influx of Newbies, down with all Newbies untill the Set is finished, has really shown. Just not enough stuff to go around for the average collector on a budget.
