Thanks, all you toning buffs, for reminding me...

... about a little stash of Lincoln Cents I'd put away. Back in the very early 1990's I won a couple of Wayte Raymond albums full of Lincoln Cents at an estate auction, the UNC coins had just the best color I'd ever seen. I removed all of the UNC coins (dated 1938 to 1962 or so) and dutifully put them in 2x2s, then forgot all about them.
About a year ago I sold the two albums on eBay and was shocked when the empty books fetched more than I'd paid for them full. After seeing so many beautifully toned coin pics posted here, I went and found the single row box full of UNC Lincolns I'd removed from those albums. Most of them are subtly toned, many have carbon spots, but there were a few nice coins there. The two best:


I apologize for the crummy scans - although thanks to whomever suggested tilting the flips on the scanner bed and leaving the cover up, that really helped me bring out the color here.
Maybe I should consider another economy submission for these?
