Here is a nice toned set! If you tilt it at 15 degrees and when the light hits it.. WOW!
It took my almost 6 months of going to coin shows and looking threw thousands of war nickels.

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Those are really nice MadMarty. Would be better if you only had to tilt 14.5 degrees.image

You know, I gotta give you credit, cause I tried the same thing about 8 yrs ago. It was a royal pain in the buttocks. War Nickels can tone so beautifully!

Truely one of the best looking WT sets I have seen. You are to be commended for your numismatic conservation efforts!

Nice, I bought a Unc war nickel set several years ago when PCGS had an auction board. Only 1 had nice colorful toning. Do any of your has repunched mint marks? The war nickel series has several Repunched mint marks for each date. My set came with a 1943 P over a rotated P and a 1944 D that had been triple punched.
