    with that nice of a strike I have to guess its a early issue, I guess a 48 or 49.

    Dang! That was too fast. Red hot as usual, Lucy. It's a 48FBL MS65 according to PCGS.

  • That's a superior strike - even for a 48 - I'd be interested to see the obverse of that thing - good pic too bytheway!

    This has to be a 1948! Only the 1948 has the super strong bell lines and a very complete strike. I love true red toning on a coin.

  • Very strong strike - I see a few spots on the cheek that may be the only things keeping it in the MS65FBL range - but it's an awesome coin - enjoy it! image
