Question for IKE experts....

Do the 76 MS ike's type 1 show up in the 75 mint sets or mixed in both 75 and 76 sets? Thanks any knowledge would help.

I believe I am correct in stating that they are only found in the 1975 mint sets and not both. Of course, you can getthem from rolls, bags, etc.

I think the Type I is in the 75 mint set and the type II in the 76 - looking at both it should be easy to differentiate between the two

Yes. All 1975 mint sets contain the type 1's and all 1976 have the type 2's. Otherwise
the quality of the '76 sets far exceed the '75. So if you're looking for gem quarters or
halfs then you're better off with the '76. The type 1's are also hard to find nice, espec-
ially the Philly issue. The 75-D dime and both cents are tough in top grade. The Philly
nickel is tough, but very nice when you find one.
