How long in storage for Wayte Raymond toning?

I'm too young to have a good idea how long, on a rough average, it takes for some decent toning to develop in the folders. I do have insights to some other types, but not Wayte Raymond. For the most part, I've always just left the coins out, with a piece of paper over them, or folded them up in colored greeting card envelope paper. Really nice results, but still not Wayte Raymond.
Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.

It's possible the sulfer content from those old holders has grown weaker, and may not be as effective at this late date. It might take even longer now!
BTW.....i always wonder why it's considered natural toning for these coins when they were originally placed in these holders with no intent (at first) that incredible color would develope! Today, these holders are specifically sought out BECAUSE they can still create those beauties.......but in a sense it's "kinda" AT .....or so it seams to me. (Since it's planned.....kinda like a pregnancy.....accidental or planned.....it's all good!)
Wouldn't stop me though!!
