Does any one have an idea what this coin,medal is?

I bought this from a dealer junk tray, and as of yet have not been able to find any info on it. If this is the wrong forum for this sort of thing I am sorry, and wil post it elswhere. It is the size of a US Dime, and has no reeding. The initial "B" is on the bust.

It's definitely a medal, but not one I recognize. In fact, I've never seen one with two "heads" like this. You might want to post this on the 'World & Ancient Coins' or 'General Collectibles' forums.

It looks like a political campaign button -- I'll bet one of the heads is a presidential candidate and the other a candidate for vice president. In fact, the guy on the front looks like Rutherford B. Hayes, president from 1877-1881, who won the 1876 election after an Electoral College dispute very similar to the 2000 race.

Lincoln/Garfield medal
"The busts of Lincoln and Garfield, the two US presidents assassinated in the 19th century, are by Charles E. Barber, who was chief engraver of the US Mint at the time of Garfield's death in 1881. He continued in that position until his death in 1917.
"The 11/16-inch bronze medals were struck and restruck for many years."

They come in different metals as yours look like silver. The smaller ones are called medalets.
