2000 TYPE 2 LINCOLN

Anyone have any opinions on the 2000 P type 2 error lincoln. this is the one where the reverse is proof and the A & M are seperated in america.would this be a coin worth grabing now for an investment down the road. i have heard that there were only 10,000 of these made.

  • I don't know how many were made. I found 2 out of 100 rolls of circulated rolls from the bank, so I don't think that they are rare by any means.............Ken

There were lots more than 10,000 made. It's likely that increasing numbers of people
will collect varieties as more people find them in circulation. Those which catch people's
attention may do pretty well. Type 2 reverse have a head start since they are already
    in the Redbook.

Here is the NGC POP report on them.

    1998 has 93
    1999 has 5
    2000 has 43

    I have a 1999 that is a POP 3 with 2 higher. image

I've got an extra 2000 anacs ms67 that I was going to possibly ebay..........what do you guys think they are worth???
  • i have seen prices range from 10.00 ea in BU to 30.00-40.00 in MS67.I only have about 8 of them both in bu and slabed. i guess i will hold them and see where the prices go from here. it would be nice if they hit the price of 1955 ddo . well at least the 1995 ddo. i would really be happy.
