Where on-line can you order bulk flips . . . non-pvc

Any help would be appreciated. I have seen several places on the internet, but I don't know them, and can't form an opinion about who to use. If you would recommend a particular type of flip and a seller of them that you would recommend . . . .PLEASE DO!

  • Doug, try Kelgory.com. Choose "vinyl flips" from the dropdown menu and go from there. Their "unplasticized" are the non-PVC type and are safe for long term storage. 2X2 is the regular size for home use, the 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 are what the grading services want you to send them in, along with polybags which they also sell.

I did some searching and they had the lowest bulk pricing, that I found anyway. Hope this helps.

Many thanks. I have a bunch of coins in vinyl flips, and I started to get concerned, so I am looking for an alternative. I'll try them both.

PM me with how many you need and the size and I'll try and beat anybody's price out there. In fact, I've been thinking about adding them to the list of board member specials in my sig.

Editted to add: OK, I've looked at those three links and see the lowest price of the three for ET Kointainer brand Saflips in the 2.5" size is $23 per hundred. I would be willing to supply these to board members for $21 per hundred (plus shipping of course) if there is demand. I currently only carry around 500 in stock but I'd increase my inventory levels if demand warrants.

I used to use the 2x2 nonpvc (crunchy) flips from my supplier (Southpark...$41 a box of 1k) then either grab a bunch of the soft 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 flips from PCGS or buy them. Then I found out PCGS just likes their nonpvc
2 1/2 x 2 1/2 crunchy flips, so I switched. Before I switched I called by supplier with pcgs price on them and my supplier couldn't beat or even get close to it. So I order something like 2k and PCGS gave me an even better price. So check with PCGS! image

    Morris,

I've never been able to get anything other than vinyl flips through PCGS (i.e., ones containing PVC). Are you saying they also have non-PVC ones?

Yesiree, it took about a month to get them...I think they kinda forgot about it, but I just received a huge box o' non-pvc flips. They come in individual 50 flip per pack.

Maybe it is new...not sure, I stumbled upon them when working with Enible (sp) on a new teir of submission. He just told me about them in passing conversation when we were trying to work out the kinks.

Not new. They have been offering them for more than a year now. They came to my attention when PCGS came to the realization that one should NOT USE POLYBAGS FOR PROOF COINS. PCGS also recommends this.

DO YOU HEAR ME DOUG. The polybags tend to cause hazing on Proof coinage, so you may want to make sure you don't use them for Proofs. I've stopped using them altogether and use the "mylar" flips exclusively, particularly for shipping (temp changes, delays in transportation, etc.)
