Help grade this 1926-S Buffalo

Is it a VF20, VF25, VF30, or is it higher ? I beleive on 3 legs and key dates, the horn does not have to be full to get a VF grade. I have seen many on EBay with half to 3/4 horn and get a VF grade. Your comments please.

Thanks
Walt

  • Hey Buddy, Going by the lack of tail detail, I'd say VF35 to XF40. Probably XF40 with the good horn detail. image

  • Walt,

Photograde and I vote for a high VF (VF30 to VF35) which puts you in the good money category (versus a borderline VF of high F).

I would expect VF35 or XF40. However, there apears to be some foreign substance on the obverse. Is that just the scan or is there a bit of a problem?
