Can I pat myself on the back for this?

I just became the first to complete the most popular "key card" set (by number of registrants).

Uncle Joe's All-Time NFL Rushers Set

All of the cards have scans, if you're interested image There are still some upgrades I need to make, like the Payton 7, which is the only sub-8 in the set. Anyway, just thought I'd come here and toot my horn image

Joe

p.s. The Hornung 8 I just added is gorgeous for an 8, check it out

  • Way to go Joe! I still think the OJ looks better than 8!

Nice set, good luck with the upgrades!

    Congratulations. Nice set.

Thanks for the scans. I just finished looking through them. Why the "7" on the Walter Payton? I can't tell from the scan. The centering looks great.

Thanks guys. The OJ is indeed a very high-end 8, I will probably resubmit it a few times. The Payton has a touch of wear on all 4 corners, thus the 7. Great eye appeal though image

On a side note - I was trying to figure out who the owner of the #1 Trammel set was.I know who the other guy is too.

    Congrats!

  • RobE, are you talking about Alan Trammell? the basic or master set, or are you talking about something totally different? If I ever send them in, I have about 150 different Alan Trammell cards that are all worthy of at least 9's (been collecting Trammell for years) including all his major brand cards and many oddballs.

  • WOW! That Hornung card is terrific. Also the Jim Brown card is very well centered. I am envious. Great set AlanAllen.image

Yes I'm speaking of Alan. The #1 guy on the registry is Uncle Joe so I'm going to guess that is our very own AlanAllen. The #2 guy is someone I sold my 1980 PSA 9 to when I got the 10.I suggest you get in touch with the #2 guy.He will be happy to hear someone has what you do.

Yeah, I collect Alan Trammell sporadically too. Marcus Allen cards are always my #1 priority, hence my username image. DJB, you probably should contact the other guy, unless you have a nice '78 Burger King or '79 O-Pee-Chee, then I'd be interested.

Joe, I've been waiting for you to add that card..lol..I don't see anyone catching you this this year(2003). Unfortunately, my #1 chase is the for the NFL HOF RC's, and there are SOOO many I have to be selective in my spending. But I do plan on reaching 100% on my All-Time Rushers set one day..

My favorite scan is the PSA 10 SP C. Martin....SWEEEEETTTTT...

  • Congrats Joe. You do deserve a pat on the back. The Hornung is gorgeous. That is what an 8 should look like! Your Brown and Csonka are great looking too. Great job! I look foward to being at 100% with you soon.
