greysheet B&A please

Hi, I went to a preview yesterday and among other lots I was interested in was a 1943 Walking Liberty Half graded MS65 by PCGS.

Now, I have a number of Proof WLs, so I'm pretty used to "Pretty", but this Lady exploded like a flash bulb in the face in the middle of a moonless, starless night in the middle of the desert!!!

There is absolutely no doubt that I WILL OWN THIS COIN, but I just want to know what to expect from the dealers attending.

Any help?
Thank you, Jim

Thanks guys, This lady is mine!!! I have been impressed by Ladies but no MS lady has ever "taken my breath away", until yesterday. She's not just spotless, blast white and extremely strongly struck (Obverse and Reverse), but even the flow lines are perfect. I will post pics when I get her home.

    Thanks again, Jim

  • Jim......."just" in case someone else gets the same neurons firing over this coin......bring a little extra dough with you! Never be afraid to reach on an outstanding coin......and at that price level bid/ask the dollars wouldn't be too great if it went twice the posted levels. I've gone 3X sheet on a MS63 Bust half dollar.......but the toning is worth every penny though the dollars much more severe!

Some Monster Morgans trade 10X sheet.......so be prepared!

I hope the seller is not on the boards. She/he can shill away and watch the $ roll in!

Merz2, And take a chance of violating the Lady, never!

Joejeweler, I will go atleast double if need be.

Itsnotjustme, not to worry, it is an estate auction and the previous owner is, lets just say, unable to place a bid.

Anoldgoat, you got that right, the Eagle even has that mean sneer in his face like he would B-slap anyone that got too close. And I like the Eagles on these pieces (also like the Eagles on the Peace dollar) they don't look like road kill all spread eagle (pun intended) like so many other series.image
