What do you think ????????????

I have a SAE collection the MS's and PR's are slabbed. Here is my dilemna, my BU's I have in a Dansco Album the proofs are in the original government issue packaging. If I dont care about investment or making money on the proofs is there any reason I should not put them in an album also? I am talking about toning issues or other damage to the coins. Of course if I did decide to sell, for what the "toners" are going for it might not be all that bad.

Thanks

  • My biggest fear would be damaging the coins with hairlines. I guess I'm too much of a purist, but when I see a proof coin out of a protective case I cringe!

I agree with Frank. I would worry about putting hairlines on to the coins and having their value decrease from damage, fingerprints, etc.
