What Stump posted is about right in my view. The pop numbers generally support that as well. The exception is the Clemente. Strong number of 9's "out there", but where the heck are they? They're hoarded by Clemente collectors for the most part and have been seeing incredible prices lately.

The least submitted cards should also be paid attention. Some examples...

    #1 Kranepool

    #18 Reichardt

    #24 Epstein

    #25 Haller
  • I have also had a little trouble with #20 Gaylord Perry.

  • Perry was the tough card for me as well ... I think I just got lucky on the Clemente and Stargell cards( paid just north of $80.00 for Clemnte and Stargell just north of $50) I think that was before set builders realized the difficulty of these few cards.... I recently auctioned a Clemente PSA 9 that went for $280+ to a collector I assume is not a K Kard Kollecter and probably a Clemente or a star card collector....

I found the run from 16-30 to be the cards that were the toughest of the set overall and the POP reports pretty much back this up.... in terms of Number of submissions and percentage of cards graded PSA 9 vs. the total amount of submissions....

In my view the Clemente 9 even if the population continues to rise will remain price relatively high because it is one of the most afforadble PSA 9 cards for the Clemnte collector in PSA 9 just look at some of the SMR's for Clemente in PSA 9:

1973 Topps - $400 (probably sells higher than SMR I have never seen at 8 sell at or below SMR).
    1972 Topps - $610 , $335 (in action)
    1971 Topps - $3000
    1970 Topps - $2750

So the 1970 K card is a very affordable (and a down right attractive KARD) card for the collector in teerms of looking at other PSA 9 1970's cards.

the clemente the cullen and the carlos may seem to be the hardest. i am putting an all psa 8 set together (for resell)i have 73 graded and the 8's have been on fire lately. a lot of the cards are bring close to the prices the 9's demand. i have talked with gemmintman about it and would like any opinions on what a full set will sell for. i know luxury just sold a set of 9's (with 3 8's) for 2500.00. should a set of 8's bring a third or a half of what a set of 9's brings.
