It will remove the toning from your finger tips and they will no longer be "original." Some might say they were doctored. Thiourea, the active ingredient, is not a high hazardous chemical but is not good for you either. Like a lot of chemicals, prolonged or repeated exposure could lead to complications.
Don't know why they don't put a little plastic basket in the jar and make another buck on the product. Note: There is a jewelry cleaning product that does have a basket in it. The solution seems to be different than Jewluster but you can remove the basket and use it for your coin cleaning tasks. Check your local jewelry store.
Also, you can use some of those locking ties to dip one coin at a time. A little slow but it keeps your fingers out of the stuff. Take the locking tie and cinch it up to leave a small loop. Turn it inside out to leave the opening off to the side rather than straight down. Make different size openings for different size coins. Works fer me.
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.
