    I used to have more time to search for nice coins to slab myself. Made some winners, but nothing like a 68DCAM AH Kennedy. Way to go!

    Great coin. Does that mean you have a PR67DCAM you want to unload?

    tristarz,

    It replaced a 67CAM, not a DCAM.

    Russ,

    How'd you come by the 68DCAM? If you don't mind telling, (if you can). I don't remember reading about it.

    Auction? Regrade?

    Nice coin!

  • Hey DAM, Russ actually found that coin in an inexpensive proof set!!!!

    You can read about it on this thread from the coin forum.
  • Russ;
    Congratulations on a great find. Out of curiosity, do you have an idea of how many 1964AH coins you have slabbed? And what is the distribution of grades you've received? And I'm sure you've looked at many, many more that haven't been worth slabbing!

    Pete,

    Drop the 13 in for grading to 11, and add a 68DCAM and 65DCAM to the graded coins. Also, I've gotten a half dozen or so raw ones in since then.

    DAM,

    A seller listed four sets on eBay, a '62, '63 and two '64s. They had obverse images only, but it was obvious the Kennedys were cameo'd Accented Hairs. As soon as I saw the listing, I eMailed him and started negotiating for early close. We finally hit a number, he closed and sold them to me.

    I actually took a risk, since I hadn't seen the reverses and the coins could have turned out to be dogs. But, as we used to say in the Army, no balls, no blue chips.image
